How Kyeni Ensemble Started – In Caroline’s Words
Let’s hear from Caroline about what inspired her to start Kyeni Ensemble
Looking back, designing Kyeni Ensemble as a multi-vendor platform was a continuation of my involvement in community service and promoting literacy. I like creating avenues that bring people together and transform communities.
I developed interest in contemporary writing while doing my master’s degrees in Belgium. At that time, I would write quotes in my notebook. I would sometimes picture myself writing play scripts, and as the years went by, I became more interested in the world of writing and storytelling. I eventually decided to document my stories through writing books and storytelling.
Recently, I wrote a manuscript for a kid’s book that was inspired by my children’s experiences during their first trip to Kenya. While I have not published this book just yet, this was the catalyst that really inspired my journey and led to my founding of the Kyeni Ensemble platform. The idea of starting a multi-vendor online books marketplace is something I dreamt of doing and I started to take the first steps toward making this a reality.
A Platform to Sell and Buy Books
As testified, Caroline is a passionate reader who recognized the benefits of books during her many years of studying. She also aspired to create a platform to sell her own books in the future. As a budding author, she encountered the challenges that many new writers face when it comes to publishing their work. We all know how difficult it can be to get the chance to have your masterpiece published and shared with readers around the world. However, with platforms like Kyeni Ensemble, more people than ever before have the opportunity to sell their books and share their stories with the world.
Caroline has always been passionate about community service and promoting literacy. By creating an avenue like Kyeni Ensemble, she hopes to transform communities and benefit both readers and authors alike. Kyeni Ensemble integrates well with her commitment to community service. Caroline led an exhilarating project a year prior to establishing her company. She organized a fundraiser to build a classroom for a public high school in one of the marginalized rural areas in Kenya. In the future, Caroline hopes this platform will give her the chance to take on more challenges like this and make a positive impact on the world.
